Citta goes to London Town in its latest campaign.
It marries interior design trends with facets of British style to match five local New Zealand personalities to each of its key trends: The Vintage, The English Rose, The Sloane, The Proper Gent and The Eccentric.
I like the way this brings the Englishness – seen everywhere recently with Royal wedding/baby fever and the Queen’s Jubilee – into a New Zealand context. It’s not so much making your home a little corner of England’s pastures somewhere, but choosing pieces drawing on that heritage that suit your own personal style.
The Vintage look is seen on Citta Design’s Imogen Tunnicliffe with clashing textures, colours and patterns.
The English Rose is represented by fashion designer Juliette Hogan with the romantic side of the Brtish with pretty and charming prints in cushions, bed linen and ceramics.
The Sloane’s face is Gemma Young, Fashion Editor of Next and Cleo magazines, with understated chic in neutral tones.
The Proper Gent is Paul Baragwanath showcasing refined good taste and cultured good manners.
The Eccentric is faced by Benny Castles, fashion designer at WORLD, with offbeat combinations of tartan, tweed and houndstooth.
