If you want the look of skinny jeans but don’t find them flattering or want to avoid grabbing and cameltoe, try Curve ID. With the tagline, ‘Shape Not Size’, Levi’s Curve ID jeans have eschewed the traditional waist sizing, instead utilising more of a bra sizing method; calculating hip to waist ratio.
Currently there are three body types – slight curve, demi curve and bold curve. I read that they are contemplating a supreme curve option prompted by the South American figure too.
How did they come up with these? 3-D scans of 60,000 women worldwide were studied to craft the perfect fit, and ten body shapes were identified and narrowed down to three distinct silhouettes that account for 80% of women across the globe.
I am told I am a Bold Curve (read: pear-shaped, in a new euphemism)
Once you know your curve ID, you choose the waist size in inches as per before. Mine are a very dark plain denim called Classic Slim Leg. They’re not overly stretchy, with just 1% Elastane in the cotton denim compared to say my Not Your Daughter’s Jeans which have 4% Elastane but these do keep their shape and seem really quite flexible and stretchy when on.
They are incredibly comfortable and for once, don’t gape open at the back of my waist. A bold statement, indeed.
