Eyes right! Bringing low-priced designer sunglasses to the market, Specsavers launched their new range of designer prescription sunglasses at a lunch today featuring glamour, vintage, sports and classic styles to suit every taste.
These four themes cover the spectrum of tortoiseshell, aviator, cats eye, retro, sporty, and everything in between. There are new ranges by Alex Perry (my own favourite in the range), Tommy Hilfiger, Country Road, Roxy, Quiksilver and Osiris.
Detailing was a major story across the ranges, with diamantes, lace effects, and metallic effects embellishing the sunglass arms.
You’ve heard of food and wine matching? Well, this was new; the launch held at Fish at the Hilton showcased a creative concept of food and sunglass matching. Yes that’s right: each of those four themes was matched to a dish by Fish’s talented Chef, with wine to match.
Below: Megan Robinson of Thread with Rebecca Rassie of Mango both wearing Specsavers.
First up on the food-and-sunglasses matching was ‘vintage’, cleverly represented by Chef with Yuzu cured salmon.
Gold paint and quail for the ‘glamour’ theme.
‘Sporty’ miso tuna.
Pavlova was the ‘Classic’ theme dish.
Speaking of glasses of a different type, look how many glasses we accumulated for two of us! No we didn’t finish them.
The Specsavers two pairs for one low price now includes prescription sunglasses, so you can get both for $299. Check them out now at one of the 53 stores nationwide.
