I’ve decided a day at the Polo is one of the best days out; I had SO much fun.

Basically it’s the winning formula Horses + Fashion + Champagne = BMW NZ Polo Open.

The Clevedon Polo Grounds played host to the polo matches, corporate marquees, and general admission areas. This year the Fashion Lawn area had designer shows throughout the day showcasing tkstore, Hailwood, Rodd & Gunn, and Ted Baker.

The L’Oreal Powder Room provided touch-ups from Servilles hair stylists to keep everyone looking polo-perfect.

Here’s all our photos of fashion’s day out in Clevedon…

Veuve’s greatest fans. Carolyn Enting (right) and I.

The red carpet at Veuve Clicquot and yellow windmills which had arrived last week by courier as invitations.

Amazing woven pods at Veuve Clicquot tent. What I wore: Sheryl May coral silk dress, Karen Walker necklace and belt, Max hat, and Saben bag.

Next up was the Ted Baker fashion show, styled by Lulu Wilcox, which had a surprise celebrity guest; Josh Emett of Masterchef – who has been dressed for TV by Ted Baker – and stepped out on the catwalk wearing it today.

A BMW raced a Polo pony over a short distance on the field, and the horse won. Luckily the BMW didn’t have to also wield a mallet. We watched from Rodd and Gunn’s tent – love the purple uniforms – where Rodd and Gunn had amazing food catered by Huka Lodge.

We took to the field for the stomping of the divots.

Saddles, Polo ponies, and champagne.
