Saying, "Oh well, it’s good value if they grow into it" is small compensation when it’s two inches past their toes…

So Pumpkin Patch has come to the baby shower with a new range of Prem and Tiny Prem baby wear for the smallest of the small, whether they’re officially premature or just too small for newborn sized clothes.

“In New Zealand, approximately 8% of babies are born prematurely, which is around 20 early babies every day,” explains Alison Billingham, baby designer of Pumpkin Patch Australasia.

We road test some Prem Patch clothes in neutrals which would be suited to either boys or girls, on Heidi Kim Taylor, who appears to be already taking after her namesake Heidi Klum with her entrance into the modelling world…

The cream and brown striped all-in-one with an off-centre domes opening has an autumn leaves applique and a donkey motif.

Hands up if you’re cute!

Autumn leaves again feature on this one, this time with a centre opening front.

‘Baby Love’ says it all on this one.

And a little ‘Sleepy Bunny’ in a cuddly brushed cotton perfect for colder nights in Winter.

Some bunny IS sleepy. Goodnight!

The tiny prem and prem range is available through all Pumpkin Patch stores nationally.

Model: Heidi Kim Taylor now 5 weeks old weighing 2.5kg at birth, now 2.9kg. Born 4 weeks prem.
