On Thursday 14 April 2011, Look Good Feel Better celebrated its 20th anniversary with a cocktail party at the Lion Foundation Event Centre at the Auckland Museum. Look Good Feel Better is an organization that works to raise the self-esteem and hope in women with cancer.

It was a night to celebrate the hard working people who have made this organization an important tool for women who suffer from cancer here in New Zealand.

When LGFB first started in New Zealand, some medical staff had doubts about whether it was a worthwhile venture and considered it just a bunch of lipstick. But everyone involved in this organization from the volunteers to the makeup companies have put in their best effort to assist the many women who suffer from cancer to feel good.

On the night, Lipstick Legend awards were handed out to 15 individuals.

Thanks were mentioned to all the deserving parties including the Cancer Society.

The members of LGFB unveiled their projects for the year that includes NZ Dream Week 2011, which provides the general public with a chance to support the organization. No anniversary party is complete without sweets, guests were provided with a candy bar they could help themselves to.

To end this classy and moving night, the Atamira dance company performed a beautiful modern dance piece inspired by the amazing work of LGFB.
