With a change in direction to be trend-setters not fashion-followers, Number One Shoes launched their new logo and new look with a salon show at Studio Lumiere in Parnell today.
Models in hooded capes and the tiniest of micro minis and long, long legs, showed off 27 pairs of boots in a make-believe changing room to a male model shop assistant who handed them another shoebox of boots to try on. If the real sales assistants are half as good-looking as this one, they will have a queue out the door on Monday morning.
The AW11 Trends Collection from New Zealand’s biggest footwear retailer showcased key footwear trends in four main areas – military, heritage, love story and rock n’ roll – as well as classic styles in an Essentials collection.
The brown woven lace-up Texture Boot ($59.99) from the 70s-inspired Love Story collection.
The camel cutaway cowboy Gloxina Boot ($49.99) also from Love Story.
Leather Stella ($129.99) from the Rock n’ Roll collection.
Patent red Draego Boots ($49.99) from the Rock n’ Roll collection.
Faux sheepskin-lined tan suedette Revenge boots ($59.99) from the Heritage collection.
