Can you imagine a merino sheep doing a downward dog? That’s exactly what’s happened at Icebreaker, with the arrival this summer of their first yoga wear.

New Zealand merino wool fashion and outdoors clothing brand Icebreaker have long done sporty clothing, and have a fabulous running line that keep you cool and sweat-free. Now, in response to the market for women’s fitness in Pilates and yoga classes, they’ve created a line of yoga-inspired wear arriving instores for summer 2013/14.

To celebrate its release, fashion media got kitted out in the gear and did a class with yoga instructor Nikki Ralston, at Studio Lumiere in Parnell on 16th October, followed by a delicious healthy breakfast and smoothies by RIPE.

My personal pick of the new range, is the Icebreaker women’s Capri black yoga trouser with gathered cuffs (as worn by Nikki Ralston in the pictures.) It’s stylish enough to just wear as a casual pant to drink coffee in – in fact, I haven’t taken mine off all day – but don’t let me stop you from exercising in it!
