Crocs NZ and Australia CEO Andy Witts introduced the guests to the new footwear style called Crocband – which he wore – a sneaker-like shoe with a Chuck Taylor-esque striped sole and an open back in the fully moulded Croslite material. The shoe retails at $75 for adults and $65 for children.

"On Wednesday night, for a special Mother’s Day treat, I went along with my special mother to Crocs in Newmarket to hear about their new limited edition range of ‘CrocBands’. I was so excited to see the limited edition Croc cupcake tower, complete with bright yellow, green and pink iced cupcakes. Some of the other kids were getting their faces painted with a ferocious crocodile, but I was very happy to sit and munch on cupcake icing. All of the Crocs shoes come in colours and shapes for everyone, but I love my purple pair the best – and mum loves them too because they kill germs and bad smells, and help me to walk comfortably. Thank you Crocs, for a great shoe party: I’m looking forward to having the best feet at kindy tomorrow!" said Maddy Osborne.

Croc-cakes with edible icing crocodiles proved irresistable to little mouths.
Even if some were a little too young for crocodile.
