All the Pretty Young Things of Tokyo joined Karen Walker at RESTIR to launch the first stop of the touring pop-up sunglass bar known as the Karen Walker Candy Bar…
Tokyo’s hip and chic – many wearing Karen Walker clothes to the party in homage to the designer, who was present – donned the latest limited edition Karen Walker Eyewear styles on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 at RESTIR in Tokyo, Japan at the opening party of the candy bar in-store concept space.
For a year the Karen Walker Candy Bar will appear in different countries with the designer’s latest limited edition sunglasses.
The styles are all confectionary-themed, with HARVEST milky cream, HELTER SKELTER strawberry, NUMBER SIX toffee, DEEP FREEZE bubblegum & PERFECT DAY vanilla.
After its season in Japan, the Candy Bar will travel to the United States to boutiques TenOverSix in Los Angeles and Cloak & Dagger in NYC. Next it will tour Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Shanghai.
And when will it come to New Zealand, you ask? Around November 2012 we’ll be seeing Karen Walker Candy Bar here.
