A homage to its best-selling iconic puffer

This special edition puffer jacket not only pays homage to Kathmandu’s most iconic and best-selling puffer jacket since 2015, but also showcases a bold new all-black version crafted from recycled car tyres, aligning perfectly with Lawson’s world of Formula One racing. A timely launch with Liam Lawson rumoured to soon take Daniel Ricardo’s Red Bull F1 seat.

Recycled plastic waste and tyres

Kathmandu’s Epiq SE blends high-performance with sleek style. The all-black jacket, crafted with fabric derived from recycled plastic waste, including used car tyres, is lightweight, water repellent and highly durable, with a beautiful buttery hand feel.

Kathmandu feels like a piece of home

Liam Lawson says, “My connection to Kathmandu goes way back. Like most Kiwis, I’ve owned a Kathmandu jacket since I was a kid. It’s come all over the world with me and feels like a piece of home whenever I see it.”

Innovation in design and technology

“To me, racing is all about pushing the limits. It’s an exciting opportunity to team up with a brand driving innovation in its own industry.

Style and sustainability

“Beyond that, the Epiq SE is sleek. I’m continuing to discover my own personal style and am eager to take on the fashion space. I’m stoked for my first step in this scene to be alongside another homegrown Kiwi.
