Little Dot and Lulu have arrived at my home bringing a world of imagination and creativity from their designer, Alice Tiankaizi Bi, the Auckland designer behind a beautiful new stationery and giftware brand, Little Dot.

So, who are Little Dot and Lulu? They are beautifully dressed stuffed dolls from the illustrations of Alice Tiankaizi Bi, come to fabricated life with their very own story attached, encouraging children – or adults- to live their dreams.

And that’s exactly what Alice herself is doing, with the inception and realisation of her dream to have her whimsically illustrated stationery business run with her husband Joshua, here in Auckland. She’s even termed a new word describing what it does; ‘fashionery’, for fashionable stationery.

I like their colourful outfits and fun characters, and as Mum I like that the faces are sewn on with no hazardous loose buttons.

My daughter was lucky enough to get her own Little Dot and Lulu. I’m sure they would make someone you know, very happy, too.
