Loving: Geometric diamond silver ring from Michael Hill

Loving: Geometric diamond silver ring from Michael Hill

I headed along to the opening of Michael Hill’s Queen Street flagship store last week and met the legendary jeweller himself – so instantly recognisable from those “Michael Hill, Jewellery” TV commercials that ran for years and years. The Queen Street and Vulcan Lane inner city Auckland store incidentally is his 300th store in the world, and clearly a milestone for the now international brand which is number 2 in Canada and planning to take over the US. Hill gave the assembled guests the pleasure of hearing anecdotes and personal insights in a moving speech, before handing over to his daughter Emma, and thanking his wife Christine, for all their hard work and immeasurable support since opening their first store in Whangarei all those years ago, and the three of them cutting the ribbon to open the 300th store.

Below: I’ve been wanting a structured, yet pretty, ring for ages now. I am so happy to have found this ring below on their website and it was only about the price of a new pair of leather boots so is an affordable luxury. I absolutely LOVE my Geometric diamond silver ring which I got thanks to Michael Hill as it’s my perfect blend of contemporary and classic. It’s made from sterling silver with modern, clean lines and set with a row of round brilliant diamonds on one of the lines and polished silver on the other. See the full range of rings, necklaces, engagement, earrings and more at their website Michael Hill and check out my own photos below.
