Natalie Chan gets arty in her latest collection of fashion millinery, inspired by Spanish Surrealist painter Salvador Dali. We attended the launch at Black Door Gallery in Parnell to try on the amazing hats and enjoy a glass of GHMumm Champagne.
The latest collection for Summer 2013/14, ‘A Date with the Surrealist’, brings a quirky artistic flair to her often classic hats, and we love it. I couldn’t resist trying on the cat whiskers veil hat ($95) and you can see me wearing it, in the photos below.
At the launch it was fun for a change to be able to try on the hats, rather than just watching garments walk by on models, as at most fashion shows. It felt really interactive and got everyone laughing, and involved, playing grown-up dress-ups.
Visit her boutique in Parnell Road Auckland and online at www.nataliechan.co.nz for beautiful and original hats for weddings, mother of the bride, Races, or just for fun.
Amazing goody bags from Natalie Chan, with GH Mumm, Vintage Table, Bobbi Brown, Litte Red catering, MOR Cosmetics and Cartier For Flowers.
