Ray of sunshine

Sure, the fashion industry does our head in with showing us Winter in Spring, and Spring in Autumn. So it was that we headed into Ciel PR to look at Spring Summer and shoot our top picks. What a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day…

With every new season – as I write this, appropriately, on June 1st, the first day of winter – comes a feeling of a new start.

And this, while not always apparent in our everyday lives – especially at work where the inbox always feels full, or at home where there’s always ironing to fold and dishes to do – is never more felt than in the area of fashion.

In the fashion industry, of course, seasons are paramount. In fact, seasons are everything. Sure, the fashion industry does our head in with showing us Winter in Spring, and Spring in Autumn; albeit here in New Zealand the seasons are so confused that most days you can see the famous four seasons they sing about.

So it was that we headed into Ciel PR to look at Spring Summer. What a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

Here are Thread.co.nz’s top picks from Megan and Anya of the stunning new season SS12 collections. It was shot on location at the Ciel PR Showroom, with photography by Vito Trupinic, hair and make-up by Stacy Lee Ghin, and model Kirsten at KHM.
