Winter has been so good to us but there’s no denying the fact that everyone’s excited for the arrival of two of the most well-loved seasons, spring and summer. Okay, that statement might be clouded (excuse the pun) with bias.
For me, spring seems to birth the best of surprises and summer kick-starts adventures of all sorts. If the creation of this fashion editorial – or more precisely, more of what transpired behind the scenes – is any indication of what lies ahead, then it could not be more fitting to use the cliche ‘the best is yet to come’.
A road trip is pretty standard, I reckon, if you live in such a gorgeous place as New Zealand. We took the opportunity to go on one and shoot an editorial on the side. Sartorially speaking, it’s amazing how we wore these pieces as we drove off to our location and still had the comfiest ride ever – whoever said being stylish and comfortable at the same time doesn’t happen has to wear pieces from this shoot!
As expected, the upcoming seasons will bring forth wonderful bursts of colour back into our wardrobes. But with that said, we’re also loving pieces in white, which one can easily spice up with accessories, hats and what I would deem as one of the fashion gods greatest gifts to humankind, sunnies.

As a footnote, we took down notes as to what to do and what not to do in a shoot like this and we’ll share what we learned with you. In the meantime, hope you enjoy the photos and thankyou to all who made this happen.
