Loobie’s Story…
Fashion. That is what we are all chasing isn’t it?
But then again maybe not all of us are. For those of us who have ‘lived life well’, there comes a point in our lives where we are not just chasing trends.
We have a fairly full wardrobe, and we know what we like and what suits us. And as trends change each year, we find that for some seasons, there is simply nothing we like – or nothing that suits us.
Not everyone looks fabulous in a maxi dress, or a mini skirt. Or cut off denim shorts (you know – the really short ones that only really look good on a 16 year old…).
Maybe there comes a point where it is not about looking fashionable – but actually just looking good and dressing well. Loobie’s Story is designed with exactly that in mind. Pictured left: St Germain Jacket and Pasha Dress.
It has been designed for the women who have had their children, lived and gained experience and can now devote more time to themselves. They need a multi-tasking wardrobe with flattering, easy shapes, fabrics and colours. How lovely to have clothes that make you feel a bit fabulous – but not self conscious!
And designer Laurinda Sutcliffe- formerly of NZ fashion manufacturer High Society – is definitely doing something right. In this current economic climate, where many labels are struggling, Loobie’s Story enjoyed a 25% increase in orders from the retailers over orders for the summer range!
Pictured are some of thread.co.nz’s favourite looks from the Loobie’s Story AW11 collection, instores from February 2011.
