Swooning poets and charming tomboys were the inspiration for the new summer collection by Kate Sylvester, launched at her Teed St store in Newmarket, Auckland on Thursday 12th August.
From 5.30pm to 8pm the store was bustling with an after-work VIP crowd drooling over the newest collection.
Once again floaty, colourful pieces where key themes for summer. Stripes (where would you be without them?) chiffons and military detailing to shirts and dresses, whether it be on pockets or the print itself, were also dominant.
A reference to menswear shown in the variation in shirting, is a strong influence throughout the range.
As for the knitted britches/shorts they’re very cute – you’d just need to find an appropriate setting to wear them!
