For the brief period in my early twenties I dated a graphic artist, I had a comic strip hero drawn starring me.

And apart from a penchant for wearing black, that’s about the extent in common I have with the All Blacks, who have collaborated with adidas Originals and retailer Qubic Store to design their very own Campus 80’s sneaker.

Much may have been said about the adidas jerseys of the NZ rugby team, but this represents the first sneaker colab ever between adidas Originals and the All Blacks.

The sneaker has been inspired by the ‘all heroes’ – four All Blacks who have had their own superhero characters drawn especially by NZ artist Elliott F. Stewart.

So, how can you get a piece of superhero history yourself? They go on sale Friday 23rd September 2011 at Qubic Store at 10am, and then online worldwide at midday Friday (NZ time).

And with the sneaker limited to 100 pairs, they’ll be selling like front row seats to the Rugby World Cup final.
