We got to see the TVs of the future at a press launch at one of the city’s most elegant venues, The Wharf at Birkenhead Point.
Against a backdrop of Auckland Harbour Bridge, LG’s techxperts showcased the latest technology which was pretty amazing stuff. On the premium LA86 model the Smart TV could be controlled using hand gestures to change volume or channels. Another key feature is downloading the LG TV Remote App onto your smartphone to use your phone as a remote control.
LG has now launched LG Cloud globally so you can stream direct to your LG Smart TV after installing the cloud app.
A highlight was seeing the timelapse footage of New Zealand landscapes captured by photographer Joseph Michael. Absolutely stunning.
