Fog and Stone, a Wellington based sleep and homeware company, was founded in 2017 by two friends, Justine Vanstone and Christina Goss.
“With a love of beautiful fabric and a passion for great design, Justine and I were excited to make the most of our combined backgrounds in fashion, graphic and textile design to create timeless, sustainable products that can be treasured for years to come” says Goss.
‘Lazy luxury’ – the perfect pjs are born
It was through a desire for a pair of comfortable pyjamas, perfect for a lazy Sunday, but stylish enough for unexpected visitors, that for our sleepwear range was born. “We loved the idea of creating something that would give our customers a small piece of luxury they can wear every day” she says.
The ‘sleep and wash test’
“We spent almost a year sourcing and sampling fabrics, giving each the ‘sleep’ and ‘wash’ test. 100% Egyptian cotton was the only fabric which came through with flying colours. Soft enough for a great night’s sleep and durable enough to wash again and again without shrinkage or fading and becoming more comfortable with each wash.”

The sleepwear range has something for everyone. “We loved the loose silhouette of culottes and kimonos which inspired our John & Yoko pyjamas. Being both chic and comfortable at the same time, they lent themselves perfectly to pyjamas that make looking good effortless anytime of the day. The classic Victoria & Albert set is perfect for the cooler months ahead while the Jack & Rose set is ideal for a mid winter holiday in the sun” says Goss.
