Thread’s reviewer Evelyn Ebrey said, "The highlight of the day was next, in the form of Zambesi’s return to the MBFWA runway in one of the most anticipated shows of the week. Known for their intelligent, individual take on modern fashion, Zambesi opened with a series of six chic all-white outfits, which combined with the soft nude makeup and moody lighting, had an almost celestial feel.
"It wasn’t long before the darker, edgier side of the label came out to play, appropriately to the sounds of Australia’s own INXS. Mixed in with the minimalist mens and womenswear was a delicately tasseled maxi-dress and an amazing emerald plaid print, the mens shirt and shorts outfit of which in organza was particularly stunning. An effortlessly cool collection with a feeling of nonchalant elegance from the Zambesi team, it was fantastic to end the designer shows of MBFWA with such a brilliant show from an iconic kiwi label."
