The 17th annual iD Dunedin Fashion Week culminated in the final iD Fashion Show with a stunning collection from international guest and go-to designer for Kate Middleton, UK-based Kiwi Emilia Wickstead, alongside a collection from national guest Kate Sylvester, a demi-couture collection from Carlson which opened the show, and exceptional winter collections from popular iD favourites NOM*d, Mild-Red, Company of Strangers, Charmaine Reveley, and DADA Collection. New to iD this year – Julian Danger and Huffer – showed impressive full collections, while Zambesi, a previous iD national guest designer, returned to amaze iD crowds.
Hosted by television personalities Mike McRoberts and Paula Penfold, the annual iD Dunedin Fashion Shows were the culmination of a week-long celebration of fashion events in the city. The shows followed Thursday night’s iD International Emerging Designer Awards, where new talent from around the world vied for top prizes, judged by Emilia Wickstead, Stefan Siegel from emerging designer platform Not Just a Label, Australian fashion writer Patty Huntington, and New Zealand designers Kate Sylvester, Margi Robertson and Tanya Carlson.
