Jimmy Choo Exotic

Jimmy Choo is of course famous for shoes, and in particular quality styles and exotic materials – including snake leathers. This bottle draws on that heritage with its python packaging and raspberry-red bottle, and its name; Exotic. Like his cutting edge shoe design, it is targeted at women who are eclectic and edgy – not for shrinking violets then, this one – with top notes of blackcurrant sorbet and pink grapefruit, middle notes of passionflower and tiger orchid, and base notes or raspberry and patchoulu. Exotic is priced at 100ml $150 and 60ml $100 from department store fragrance counters.

Karl Lagerfeld Pour Homme

Another iconic fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, has released a signature scent for men and women. Pictured below, the men’s fragrance, Pour Homme Eau de Toilette, has an elegant black glass bottle with a silver neck and rectangular flask. The press release packaging is the best I’ve had all year so I had to include it in the photograph: a Karl-esque white shirt collar and black leather glove such as he famously wears, in the form of a keyring.

Valeur Absolue

Combining natural active ingredients with beautiful fragrance, Valeur Absolue is more than merely “a perfume.” They contain essential oils wiith a beta-endorphin (well-being molecules) booster to bring feelings of well-being to the wearer. There are three scents in the range: Harmonie, Sensualite, and Joie-Eclat that each have objects in the bottle. Harmonie has amethyst, the symbol of harmony, Sensualite has mother-of-pearl, the symbol of love and femininity, and Joie-Eclat has diamond powder, the symbol of sparkle. Valeur Absolue is available at Farmers from 24 March 2014 retailing at $115 for 45ml and $159 for 90ml.

Taylor Swift

Taylor by Taylor Swift has released a Eau de Parfum Spray in this 30ml box that combines her love of vintage prints and jewellery on the smaller sized bottle. It’s perfect and affordable for teens and as a gift! Available now at Farmers and beauty counters at department stores for around $52.

Juicy Couture – Couture La La

Hey, Malibu Barbies! If you love pink, and having fun, you’ll have the good scents to get this good scent! The latest from one of my all-time favourite perfumes, Juicy Couture, comes this very American perfume, with its hot pink box of palm trees and pink perspex heart bottle. Couture La La Malibu Eau de Toilette 40ml retails for $104 and is available on counter now.
