Well. School holidays are upon us and I don’t seem to be getting too much work done. If there’s anything to motivate me to keep up with the website, it’s the catch-up I am doing today for not doing much posting lately. So I am going to try to keep at it weekly so I don’t let it go this long between posts again. Here we go, then without further ado (or “without further adieu”, as I heard someone say last week), here are the highlights in photos of what I’ve been up to recently…
THE WEEK ON THREAD EPISODE 41
Today is Anzac Day. We headed into Auckland Museum on Sunday and saw these named crosses for Aucklanders lost in the war during 1915 and 1916. There were about 800 crosses last year for the 2015 centenary of 1915’s losses, and they’ve added about 800 in 2016 for 1916’s losses.
Pop-Up Globe
On Friday night we enjoyed a night of theatre seeing Twelfth Night at the pop-up globe in Auckland thanks to Cadbury Coco, which coincided with Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary.

Escapade Escape Room Event
Oh my goodness I’m a bit nervous I’m at Escapade about to get “locked” (not actually locked) in a room to solve clues to escape! Escape rooms are the hot new games overseas.
The great escape artists have escaped the Escape Room game at escapade! It was so much fun. We were only 4 minutes off their best time, too. L-R Katherine Lowe, Megan Robinson, Maddy Budd, Ben Lawson, Paul Williams.

Conscious Kids
Had the most fun day on www.ConsciousKids.co.nz school holiday programme re-wilding suburban kids away from their iPads and videos, and instead, whittling sticks, exploring the bush and beach and climbing trees with ropes. The children were exhausted afterwards and ate all their food with a bit appetite and came away asking when they could go again. That sounds like a resounding success in my eyes. I highly recommend it!
