Here comes the bride…or, to be precise – about two dozen brides, a fair dash of groom, a live harp and some adorable small people – at the annual New Zealand Weddings Magazine Show held onsite at NZ Fashion Week.
Surprise additions
Surprises are probably part and parcel of any marriage and in this one they included Dominic Bowden walking in menswear, and a finale of a red dress with a 60 foot long train that needed four attendants to turn the corners.
A dress to impress
Whilst a wedding dress may not strictly be “fashion”, it is the most you’ll spend on a single dress. Choosing the right one is a lot of fun and a really big business with trends changing each year in gowns as well as in hair and hairpieces and flowers to carry. The New Zealand Weddings Magazine Show is a window into the latest gowns and suits trends on offer from top New Zealand designers, and they are all styled beautifully with hair, makeup, and hairpieces to complement each gown.
