Fashion Week Australia 2018: Day 3
It’s Tuesday so it must be Sydney. By now the weather has cleared to a more typical sunny Australian temperature, and our sleeping patterns have adjusted by a few percentiles towards local time.
The Vittorio coffee carts here are all free and they spelled my name as ‘Mega’ so that’s gonna be my superhero name for the day.
God is the details: what people are wearing in streetstyle at Australian Fashion Week.
Big trend in streetstyle: faux furs of every colour.
Today’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia shows were MACGRAW, JETS, We Are Kindred, Blair Archibald, Matchesfashion.com x Emilia Wickstead, Periera Fitzgerald, Hansen & Gretel, C/Meo Collective, Thurley, and Romance Was Born.
MACGRAW
JETS
The Jetset: JETS Swimwear Show at Australian Fashion Week 2018 featured incredibly gorgeous models and sailors on a decking runway complete with a cruise liner on the stage.
We Are Kindred
We Are Kindred, a label I had looked at in The Suites yesterday and loved, showed a divinely pretty floral patterned collection set in a literal garden party- the catwalk was laid with mirrors to walk on amongst bouquets of flowers. Such a pretty show of many covetable dresses.
Blair Archibald
Matchesfashion.com x Emilia Wickstead
Venue of the week award to Emilia Wickstead off-site show at Coogee Baths.
It’s like speed dating on stairs! A line of gentlemen walk you down four stairs at a time, to the shoreline at Sydney Coogee beach baths, for the Emilia Wickstead off-site show.
Thurley
Thurley runway began with an all-white opening tableau of a group of models in white lace garments together as one by one they peeled off and walked the room. After the white section, coloured outfits took the floor, in blues, black, and pastels.
Front row guests at Thurley.
Uber! See you tomorrow for a very busy day.
