This is such a big deal: today, Karen Walker launches her collection of Mickey Mouse-themed clothing and accessories in collaboration with Disney to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday. The project marks the New Zealand designer as the only one from Australasia asked by Disney to create a collection for the 90th birthday and is in good company with international brands that include Gucci, Marc Jacobs and Opening Ceremony.
Central to the range is Micky Mouse walking in profile as per the iconic Karen Walker Runaway Girl logo holding her belongings on a stick. What’s in a runaway mouse’s bag? Cheese? We can only guess, but if I was running away I’d be packing all of these. You can pick up the teeshirt, clothing, eyewear, and the homewares in store and online now.
