OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In July 2019

It’s been a week of no Likes showing on Instagram and I’m loving it. For followers in America and England not getting the trial, NZ is one of the countries Instagram is testing not showing Likes, to help with mental health. What do you think of the change? Has it affected how or what you post? Also an unrelated funny story: I went out last night to a fashion event and accidentally put on roll on mosquito repellant under my arms instead of deodorant. Overpowering smell of citronella but at least I was safe from bugs.

Here’s what I wore in July 2019. You can see my outfits on ThreadNZ Instagram and follow at www.instagram.com/threadnz to see what’s new.

OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In July 2019

“Loves books, fashion, and going for walks in community centres on wintry days.” In a vintage scarf-print shirt, Karen Walker denim bow skirt, Mi Piaci boots, vintage blazer, and Esprit scarf.
Wearing vintage dress at Cordis hotel for a mini vacation for my birthday.
“Hangs out in hotel lobbies on a semi-permanent basis” ha ha.
The cutest Happy Birthday platter from the Cordis hotel for my birthday. Awww so sweet – literally and metaphorically.
Pearl hairclips by @fashionhunternz, jewellery by @migliodesignerjewellery, scarf vintage, dress by Trelise Cooper.

How To Wear A Scarf, no.4 in an occasional series: the head band. Fold square scarf in half to form a large triangle and roll it. Place centre on crown of head just back from your fringe. Tie at the back of the head and bring ends forward. Perfect today as it’s Bastille Day so Vive La France!

What I wore today; mohair vintage cardy and silk dress with Kathryn Wilson shoes. In Britomart Auckland for Lo Claire @loclaire_official collection launch drinking yummy matcha by @thea.nz Photo by @michikohylands
SHOE LOVERS UNITE
At @mi_piaci with @michikohylands.
Today’s cute kids yoga party and brunch celebrating I Love Pies’ new cereal release complete with unicorns, sloths, children, kokako coffee, and of course cereal.
Hair up by Blaze Hair Newmarket.
Coat topshop, bag Benah for Karen Walker. With Ari Orimpi at Swan Hotel Parnell with Bonds Real campaign with Katayagi Twins DJing and art being created live. Signature cocktails were also thoughtfully available in mocktails as a nod to Dry July. The Bonds Real campaign showcases real inspiring women in its 90s inspired ribbed cotton pieces as shown on the women above. I think my fave is the grey marle hi waisted pant and soft bra.
Purple reigns in clashing prince. Wear one colour in different patterns. I’m wearing coat by Aquascutum, top by Clements Ribeiro, skirt by Stolen Girlfriends Club, suede boots by Stuart Weizmann, MAC lipstick in Heroine.
At Rainbow’s End Kidz Kingdom today with these gorgeous mums and some dads (swipe for dads) to try out the birthday party rooms and rides on offer at the theme park. After my dei horribillus yesterday, this was just what the theme park doctor ordered, to lift my spirits and I had as much if not more fun than the children! Did you know Thursdays are half price entry? Can’t wait to go back.
In Trelise Cooper, at Rainbows End.
With Sir Michael Hill celebrating 40 years of Michael Hill Jewellers tonight at the Vulcan Lane Queen Street Auckland flagship store since they first opened in Whangarei in 1979. Such an iconic New Zealand brand. Congratulations on your 40th birthday @michaelhillj! I also loved that they rolled out a purple carpet, their signature colour, instead of a red carpet! I wore a vintage kimono and jacket.
