I Visit an Eco Farm Stay Airbnb in Puhoi and Waiwera

A couple of months back I took the family to an eco farm stay Airbnb in Puhoi near Waiwera, north of Orewa, Auckland and we loved it – including the kids – so I thought I’d share it for anyone interested in a local getaway with more of a rural, back to nature experience.

Drinks trolley. Is it happy hour yet?

It was fantastic value for the budget conscious, at $110 – including breakfast, chocolates, beer, and icecream tubs- for all four buildings for our family of four, with beautiful interior design that made me feel like I was sitting in a design magazine.

Coffee and toast and Whangateau roses.

It’s definitely worth going to check out Matakana Market on Saturday mornings, historic Warkworth village, cute Puhoi village and my fave, the Puhoi cheese factory cafe and riverside playground, and beautiful Wenderholm beach and park for some winter nature walks.

The property has four cabin buildings for the bedroom cabins, bathroom, and the living area.

Reading on the balcony with farmland beyond the cabins with friendly cows.
You can park on the property and it’s just 13 minutes to Orewa shops for supplies.

The Airbnb had four buildings; a master bedroom, a kids loft cabin, a bathroom and shower, and a kitchen lounge building.

The master bedroom cabin had beautiful bedding linen, and warm, soft blankets.
Cozy and comfortable.
Retro and vintage design touches including fresh protea on furniture.
