OUTFIT POST: What I’ve Been Wearing In October 2020

Housewives of Wisteria Lane.

Feat. my newly-thrifted handknit opshop cardy that I bought today at Mangawhai Heads.

At the Island bay wharf estuary in Beach haven, wearing denim jacket hand-painted by @beautifullyfrank

Have you been to Howick Historical Village? I went today for my first time and it was fantastic. Great value as it’s half price for the school holidays. We were there 4 hours, took a picnic, and learned heaps. Highly recommend to families or anyone interested in NZ history. We were invited by @howickhistoricalvillage and would definitely return.

I’m wearing broken china silk dress by Karen Walker, felt hat by Kathryn Wilson.

Do you like mixing old with the new?
I’m wearing New Zealand fashion in neutrals, both old and new; camel suede blazer by Mr K, a vintage NZ brand, and dress by Karen Walker from her sea monsters collection.
It’s great weather for taking an extra layer, it looks sunny when I get dressed but there’s still that cold wind about in the late afternoon.
Try mixing old clothes with the new.

Beautiful day at Pakiri Holiday Park. Grey knit dress by Glassons, scarf from UK, Polo Ralph Lauren flipflops.

The sun is here, wear a hat. As a melanoma survivor, I implore you to slap on a hat. Not a cap; cover those ears. Added bonus, less wrinkles. Hat up, people!

YAY found my first pohutukawa flowers of the summer. Who else loves pohutukawa?

Level 1 today! I’m off to my first event in a million years, and it’s a wine restaurant re-opening – the Tasting Room at Villa Maria has a new wine-matched menu and longer opening hours, so get out there and enjoy.

I tried their Albariño wine from Hawke’s Bay for my first time, and it’s a gorgeous Spanish white wine you should try.
I truly hope NZ restaurants can have a great recovery from now on.

No-one loves leopard print like a Mrs Robinson

Last day of school holidays today. I’ve forgotten what day it is and actually thought it was Saturday.

I VOTED! ?️ I walked down the road and voted today, so quick and easy, it only takes two ticks. Go and vote! Outfit today: Trelise Cooper dress and Converse All Stars.

LOCKS DOWN LOCKDOWN ?What I wore today; dress by Issey Miyake, tweed jacket APC Paris, vintage bag and belt, Paul and Joe shirt. Fresh blonde haircolour by Alex at Blaze salon Newmarket. Photo thanks to Eden at Blaze.

Urban safari ?? in Newmarket, celebrating my good friend @rebeccazwitser birthday at lunch today.

Such a fun night at Oppo Night Sessions with DJ Sirvere, watching talented New Zealand musicians perform live. Feat. Prins music, Geoff Ong, and Tane the Forest.

Excited to be going to Mary Poppins at Auckland’s beautiful Civic theatre tonight on a mummy-daughter date. I know the show will be ‘practically perfect in every way’.

On the streets of Paris… Okay, at Le Paris cafe in Elliott Stables in Auckland city, for coffee with the lovely Rachel. Support your local cafes, and remember to scan in with the tracing app. I’m wearing a silk watercolour print dress by Juliette Hogan, and bag by Deadly Ponies.

Playing at being Lady of the manor, Downton Abbey styles, at Cordis hotel in Auckland.

Happy 10 years Nick Von K! We celebrated a cool decade of his jewellery brand at his dress up party at a stunning house with his logo projected into the front. Inside we found a live tattooist doing your choice of tattoo, Aidan Kelly playing as well as a DJ set, and of course THE MOST AMAZING costumes.

I particularly liked the woman dressed as a popcorn vending booth. Happy 10th anniversary Nick and here’s to your next decade in design.

Love this cool secondhand fashion and homewards shop, The Collective in Birkenhead and that it donates half its earnings to mental health. I went in today and came out with a leather sofa. As they say; sofa, so good.
Check out @thecollectiveaotearoa What I wore today: vintage handmade dress, Fabia New Zealand boots, Pierre Cardin belt, Lanvin scarf in hair. Cardigan bought secondhand at @kristinredcross.

I’m the Nutcracker sugar plum fairy. Not sugar free 🙂 At the awesome Kids Carnival tonight, at @stpaulsauckland, eating candyfloss that matched my outfit.
