Styling Co-ords: How to wear matching top and pant sets

Co-ords, or matching two-piece sets, are the hottest trend in streetwear and athleisure, and why wouldn’t they be, when it takes the heavy lifting out of getting dressed and looking good. You automatically have something that goes perfectly with the other garment, and a co-ord creates the perfect canvas on which to add accessories to turn even a simple look into whatever you fancy.

In this styling how-to, I look at styling co-ords and show you how to wear matching top and pant sets in three different looks: a streetstyle look with heels, a casual co-ord look with trainers, and a dressy look for going out.

STREETSTYLE CO-ORD

Taking it to the streets while keeping it fresh in a co-ord this season Why not try the hot trend of tie-dye to make your look stand out, in this Purple Tie Dye Oversized Sweatshirt Co-ord. Featuring an over-sized, cropped sweatshirt with matching high-waisted, elasticated joggers in an on trend tie-dye print, you’re going to turn heads in a matching set accessorised with heels that mirror the tie-due effect. I wore gold drop statement earrings by Zoe and Morgan to complement the gold studs on the footwear, and wore a smoky eye with a lilac lipstick by MAC.

DAYWEAR CASUAL CO-ORD

Ready to look under your hood, down at the car garage, in my cute tracksuit co-ord with trainers and accessorised with a cute beanie for cooler days. Whether you’re lounging about at home or walking with your dog, look styley in a matching loungewear set, such as this stone ribbed longsleeve loungewear set, made even cuter with the cropped length of the jumper, and its centre tie in a bow. I really like the tapered leg and soft ribbed cuff on the skinny joggers loungewear set, ideal for teaming with your fave sneaker.

DRESSED UP CO-ORD

In case there’s any confusion left in your mind that co-ords really do take you anywhere, my last outfit takes us from day, to night. I’ve styled this camel ribbed puff-sleeve loungewear set with a neutral coloured patent heeled boot to go out for dinner and would wear gold jewellery with the camel shade fabric. The more fitting silhouette is great for evening wear and the puff sleeve is a huge trend right now. I love the look of volume on the top half that the puff sleeve gives, contrasted with the fitted pants. It has the look of a jumpsuit worn together, although of course you can split up co-ords into separates for twice the value from your pieces.
