Lashing out

I have long received compliments for having long eyelashes…

…but to be honest they have been more Yves St Laurent than Claire Renee Hahn.

I have been in a committed relationship with my mascara long before I met my husband and the subsequent toddler made an appearance.

Skip forward a few years, the ravages of breastfeeding and a fleeting affair with eyelash extensions and seemingly overnight I was left with short and brittle lashes that literally produced tears.

Whether you have never been blessed with the length of your lashes, suffering from a hormonal imbalance or illness, or in the words of Victoria Beckham looking for “that extra half an inch”;

thankfully there are now a new range of products on the market aimed at conditioning the follicles and creating longer, thicker and more healthy eyelashes.

Lilash is not a one night stand but rather a long term commitment to nourishing your lashes to lengths they have never been before. Six months on and I am now receiving compliments on how natural my eyelash extensions are and the joy I take at explaining they are “natural” is indescribable.

Beautyspot in Milford is the national distributer of Lilash and as such are well versed at talking people through using the product and of course any side effects that may occur. I was well aware that it may cause redness around the lash line, but it was far less than I imagined and the odd stray hair that may appear on my cheekbones are soon forgotten with a flutter of my lashes in the bathroom mirror.

Having nearly reached the end of my Lilash and having fulfilled the potential of my eyelashes I am more than willing to invest another $210 in keeping this relationship alive by ordering my new tube online at www.beautyspot.co.nz and as a nice touch shipping and handling is free nationwide.

Looking forward through luscious lashes it may be time to break up with my brow pencils and start spending time with Librow so watch this space.
