Senior Lecturer Linda Jones was in Dunedin to support her students in the awards and said, "The standard is really good this year. The students can feel very, very happy to be in amongst each other, and the finalists are a good collection of like minds. Although there is a variety of styles and design details, there are similar themes i.e. their interests in technology and their embrace of textile craft."
Another highlight aside from the clothes themselves, was the absolutely stunning ten Chinese models who were flown over from Dunedin’s Chinese sister-city, Shanghai. They study modeling for four years as a University degree! Breath-taking.
