Brunch with Joey and Andrew, the founders of ELEVEN Australia

On a blustery wet day in Auckland city that should rightly be the enemy of good hair, I was lucky to be meeting Joey and Andrew, the founders of phenomenally successful haircare brand ELEVEN Australia, who are all about creating very good hair.

You may well know ELEVEN Australia from their Miracle Hair serum that does a myriad of wonders for hair. Now, there is a full range of hair styling and haircare products, and now body lotion and body wash too.

Three-time Australian hairdresser of the year Joey Scandizzo, and the internationally acclaimed fashion photographer Andrew O’Toole are in Auckland showcasing their exciting products, which have gone from strength to strength, and are now stocked around the world and widely throughout the United States, where the healthy lifestyle branding of Australia does well for them.

Joey and Andrew and their talented team did a live demo today for beauty media at Colleen salon in K Road. They’re not only great with hair, but so fun and friendly, too!

The hair demo centred around creating a beautiful wavy style with flat irons moving down the hair in a side to side motion making a flattened wave and then breaking it up at the end into tousled, sexy beachy hair, with product rubbed into the roots for volume and that second-day lived-in hair look. So pretty. I had a go myself on the model under Joey’s tutelage but I can’t say I will give up the day job anytime soon.

Here are my pictures from the hair demonstration and brunch.
