Fair play: the new BLONDE ME haircare range

I have to admit at the outset I am what is generously termed a bottle blonde; aided by science and technology and a fair (no pun intended) amount of effort every six weeks thanks to Blaze salon. I’ve been trialling the newly updated and re-released BLONDE ME haircare range.

I photographed the range back in January on Thread (read BLONDE ME here) with the help of my daughter’s own blonde locks, who unfairly has a fair amount of fair hair, so I thought I’d do the same again with these new products. The original products were white, now they are in an appropriately golden hue.

The great thing about Schwarzkopf Professional is they do salon colours and sell products for you to use to care for your hair at home, so they understand both worlds, and have a passion for great hair. Here are the latest releases:

I have to admit when I hear ‘neutralizer’ I think of that neuralizer stick that Men in Black had to erase your memory of seeing aliens. Not unlike these neutralizers, then, which erase your hair’s memory of being yellow. Two Spray Conditioners are perhaps the most unusual and interesting of the range: a Colour-correcting Spray Conditioner in Cool-Ice Anti-Yellow Effect (left) neutralizers yellow tones. The Shine Enhancing Spray Conditioner is for all blondes (right) to boost luminosity.

Now, here is the shampoo and conditioner that I actually used on my own hair. Below left: Color Enhancing Blonde Shampoo for rich caramel; to revive warm blondes. Below right: Keratin Restore Mask for deep repair and seal and replenish moisture. Leave on for five to ten minutes and rinse off.
