In beauty news, M∙A∙C cosmetics has two beautiful new collections on counter – one with fashion designer Zac Posen, a pretty colour collection entitled Flamingo Park, and a Wellington Pop-Up Store of Estee Lauder Companies brands including MAC, Clinique, Jo Malone, La Mer and Estee Lauder…
M∙A∙C Zac Posen
I keep accidentally saying “Mac Posen” by mistake every time I say this out loud! Zac Posen is a perfect choice for a MAC collection, after all the designer has been perfectly dressing women for 13 years and now the New York designer presents his debut colour collection for M∙A∙C and can adorn their faces, as well.
“Over the past 15 years I have learned a great deal from M.A.C. about beauty. Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand and I have always wanted to create a makeup collection to complement my designs and brand. It was only natural to work with M.A.C. to create my first ever signature collection. I wanted to keep it luxurious, a little mysterious and clean with a large dose of star wattage,” said Posen quoted in Harper’s Bazaar.
The packaging is very seek, very fashion, and very New York; with dark grey square cases on compacts, lipsticks, and square-handled contour and buffer brushes. The designer’s signature decorates each case.
Well known for his love of glamour and an influence of Old Hollywood, this is apparent in the use of red carpet -ready, dramatic bold lips in orange-red and bright red, a purple eye palette, and a two tone blusher bronzer.

M∙A∙C Flamingo Park
From the sexy, to the pretty: MAC Flamingo Park is a plate of treats that has launched for Northern Hemisphere Spring, and our New Zealand Autumn season. Thus, it’s a pretty in pink range of baking-based cupcake goodness with a print campaign of Kawaii -cute models in a kitsch tableau of flamingos and Mad Hatter-esque afternoon tea madness. It’s a youthful fun range with glittery nail lacquers and sparkle, and as Henry Ford would have said if he were a makeup artist, “Any colour you like, as long as it’s pink.”
Available March 7, 2016 from all authorized M∙A∙C locations (limited edition)
