Who’s a drama queen – at least when it comes to their makeup? I for one think you can never have enough mascara and am happy to layer one, two, three coats onto my lashes for a bit of extra definition and impact. Want to make a statement? Cast your eyes over the latest colour collection from Elizabeth Arden; Drama Defined…
The colour collection, out 16th April 2018, has something for skin, eyes, and lashes, with the release of Standing Ovation Mascara, High Drama Eyeliner, and limited edition Eye Shadow Trios. I like how they are named for our inner star.
1. First step: get a perfect complexion with a light hand, with the High Performance Blurring Loose Powder using the High Performance Powder Brush.
High Performance Blurring Loose Powder $85 available in five Shades: Translucent, Light, Medium, Medium Deep, Deep.
High Performance Powder Brush $55 a super soft and luxurious feeling brush to apply the powder all over your face efficiently and perfectly.
2. Cover any imperfections with the Stroke of Perfection Concealer for a stage-ready finish.
Stroke of Perfection Concealer $58 in four Shades: Fair, Light, Medium, Deep.
3. No diva is ready with lashes of mascara and Standing Ovation Mascara has an oversized brush and a smooth formulation with fibres to amplify lashes for a voluminous result they claim to increase lash volume by 128%. Carnauba fibres attach to lashes for volume AND length, so you don’t have to decide between a volumizing mascara and a lengthening mascara with this bad girl.
Standing Ovation Mascara $60 in two shades: Intense Black, and Intense Brown.
4. Make your eyes pop with this super creamy eyeliner with a dual end to achieve smudged eyes using the rubber end to blend and blur colour beautifully. The formula is waterproof so it won’t run when emotions run high in your final act and the applause is coming in. Like all good eye products, it is dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested.
High Drama Eyeliner is $48 and available in six shades: Smokey Black, Espresso, Bright Eyes, Steel the Stage, Midnight Dream, and Purple Passion, pictured here.
5. These eye shadow trios go on so smooth, I love them. They feature on-trend colour combinations in stylish matte shades for natural to smoky looks that can be applied dry for a subtle eye, or wet for more impact. Key ingredients include Vitamin E to condition and nourish, Spherical Complex for a bouncy, creamy texture, Retinyl Palmitate for a blurring effect on wrinkles, and Mica-based pearls of minerals and titanium dioxide to reflect light and give a multi-dimensional effect.
Limited Edition Eye Shadow Trios $79 for 2 trios and palette, or $35 for each interchangeable trio, in two shades: Center Stage, and Matinee.
