ON MY FACE is a new column I am doing with some makeup I am enjoying. I shall feature some of my personal tried and tested favourites. This first column is my go-to makeup I’m wearing, in April 2016. Some of my faves include…
Maybelline New York Better Skin is a mid-range foundation with a really flawless coverage. The formula is vitamin enriched and has their ingredient Actyl-C, and a SPF of 14.
Karen Murrell in racy.rata is a gorgeous, deep berry red that seems to suit everyone. As with all their lippies, it is a natural formulation without lead, is cruelty-free and paraben-free, and the packaging returns to water after 100 days in the soil.
Clarins lip balm crayon is a wind-up lip crayon that you don’t have to sharpen so you don’t lose any precious product. It’s a saturated colour lipgloss that leaves lips glossy and shiny.
Estée Lauder Daywear BB cream makeup is a lighter alternative to their Double Wear foundation if you find that too matte/heavy for day-to-day use.
M.A.C Lipstick in Lady Danger is the one colour that every New Zealander seems to own. It’s a bright red-orange and I think I own at least three of them, including one in the MAC Marilyn Monroe range.
Maybelline Color Drama in Berry Much is a gorgeous deep berry shade in this hugely-popular $10 lip pencil range that is creamy, comfortable and very very saturated in intense colour. You do need to sharpen it with a large sharpener.
Benefit Roller Lash mascara is my favourite mascara right now for lengthening and thickening.
Benefit Gimme Brow brow gel is a winner for convenience of a quick slick of colour on your brows. It doesn’t give a defined brow, it is more of a quick and easy colour deepening product to put over brows.
