Top Kiwi fashion designers band together for good cause
Five of New Zealand’s biggest fashion brands have branched out into babywear to raise funds for children’s health.
Celebrated labels NOM*d, twenty-seven names, Juliette Hogan, Trelise Cooper and Zambesi have each designed a baby onesie for greatfull.co.nz in support of Auckland children’s hospital, Starship.

The new not-for-profit brings creative Kiwis together to make a difference in the lives of fellow New Zealanders. Auckland-based Melissa Gardi, Great Full’s founder, says she didn’t have to go far to find high-profile support for Great Full’s first charitable project.
“This country is bursting with talented creatives – makers and artists, designers and builders, organisations and businesses. I invited five of New Zealand’s most successful fashion houses to get involved and each of them embraced the opportunity to design a print for Great Full’s debut collection.”
Each of the five limited edition designs is printed on onesies in sizes 0 to 2ys and made in New Zealand using soft organic cotton fabric from Global Organic Textile Standard-certified yarn and water-based inks.
Exclusively stocked in-store by their respective designers, the complete collection is available online at greatfull.co.nz, and delivered in plant-based, compostable packaging. Priced at $50 each, all profits will be donated to the Starship Foundation to help bring better health and brighter futures to New Zealand children.

Designer Juliette Hogan said she was delighted to participate in Great Full’s first charitable project. “I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be part of an initiative which is not only creatively satisfying but offers a meaningful way to give back.”
The Chief Executive of the Starship Foundation, Aisha Daji Punga, “I am always amazed at how together we can do so much. I encourage people around the country to get behind this project and buy one of these super-cute onesies. By supporting Starship you’re bringing hope for a brighter future to children and families facing some of their toughest times.”

An ideal gift for new parents, the onesies are sustainably produced, from design to materials and manufacturing. Gardi said the collaborative nature of the charity’s first project would be a hallmark of its future ones, too.

“I knew that by myself I could do something good, but by collaborating with others, together we could do something great,” she said. “At least once a year Great Full will launch a new limited-edition collection produced by different collaborators and aligned with a specific cause.”

All collections are available at greatfull.co.nz where all those involved in each project share their ideas and inspiration and people can learn about the cause, and see the purpose each project serves.
