Lily and Louis Showroom Day Summer 12/13

It is of course a good sign when the sun is out on a summer showing day.

All the media were in high spirits as they arrive for a salon-style showing from Lily & Louis’ fashion labels.

It was slightly intimidating to see a film crew and Sally Ridge (below right watching the show) arriving, obviously filming for her reality series.

As the models came out, it became more apparent why, as Jaime Ridge was walking.

Bendon were first to show, along with their lingerie brands Pleasure State (Couture and VIP) and Obsidian, with far too much skin on show for us wrapped up winter wearers.

Who’s Henri (Postie Plus) surprised with their commitment to colour blocking – we liked the bright mid blue shift and pants.

JetsetBohemian followed with their signature sequins – the nude sequinned top was a stunner.

JetsetBohemian bring in clothing from all over the world and sell it at their store in Grey Lynn. They love to find sequinned and floaty fabrics in a great range of colours, with an ethnic touch (below).

Aleida & Louche took the prize for the most patterns of the day with vivid greens and yellows, which felt very summery.

Ketz-Ke finished the clothing off with their feminine take on summer with delicate patterned fabrics in soft pastels. We like their black on white polka dot peplum top for summer.

Stewart Dawson adorned the models with pearls and jewels to wrap it all up.

It was most disappointing to step outside after all that summer wear and realise it was still winter…
