Backstage with MAC at Australian Fashion Week for Bianca Spender…
We were lucky to be invited backstage with Key Artist Carol Mackie, who was amazing in both warmth and talent, to hear about the face for designer Bianca Spender’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2018 Resort Show.
Mackie told us the hero colours were shades of mustard, terracotta, and tobacco.
They used a very light touch with the makeup. Skin tone is a matte veil; it’s not about a dewy finish. They used Studio Fix mixed with MAC Face And Body. Not a heavy veil over the face at all.
MAC Prep And Prime Softening Lotion was applied to nourish skin and a mixture of foundations, using 168 brush to buff product.
Lip matches eyes but in a different tone, of the three shades of mustard, terracotta, and tobacco.
In all, Mackie said the face “Looks minimal, but there’s a lot of preparation.”
