New Zealand’s premier footwear designer, Kathryn Wilson, launched her highly anticipated Spring/Summer 16 collection at the sold out runway show on Friday night in Queenstown, as part of the annual Clicquot in the Snow festival. Continuing her long-standing affiliation with Veuve Clicquot as a brand ambassador, this is the fifth year Kathryn Wilson has showcased her new season range at the luxury champagne winter celebration.

“We were thrilled to have Kathryn Wilson return to Clicquot in the Snow for another year as her show is always a standout feature of the four-day event. Last night’s catwalk was no different, with a number of surprise and delight moments seamlessly woven in for guests to enjoy,” says Ali Campbell, Veuve Clicquot Senior Brand Manager.

This year, the show took place aboard the iconic Earnslaw, where guests were treated to an evening of vintage glamour as models hit the runway in 1920’s inspired tassels, pearls and demure curls while cruising the Queenstown Harbour. Those on board danced the night away as the models showcased the new collection, walking the catwalk to orchestral hip-hop played live on a grand piano along with a playlist of Kathryn’s all-time favourite 90s tracks by DJ Justin Sweeney.

New Zealand celebrity chef, Josh Emmet, made his catwalk debut charming the surprised crowd as he took to the runway with style and ease. Dressed in a damask floral suit, Josh appeared as though he had just stepped out of the ‘Great Gatsby’.

The Summer collections from Kathryn Wilson and Miss Wilson footwear are a celebration of strong, powerful women who inspire the brand as ‘Muses’, such as Madame Clicquot herself who was a successful, dynamic business woman of her time. Pastel hues of blue, pink and soft metallics are highlighted by bright fuschia pink in calf leather and floral textile uppers.

The Kathryn Wilson show is just one of the highlights of the four-day luxury winter festival, which included a lavish opening party out at Jacks Point, a four-course degustation lunch designed by Josh Emett at Rata, daily après-ski at the Snow Bar on Coronet Peak and the Clicquot Laneway Party to conclude the action packed week in true Clicquot style.

The Kathryn Wilson Spring/Summer 16 collection will be available for purchase via nationwide stockists and online at www.kathrynwilson.com from 22nd August 2016.
