Ziera put on a showcase of footwear magic on Thursday in Newmarket with the pre launch of their summer 15/16 collection. Thread attended and it was exciting to see the new styles teamed with fashion by Loobie’s Story.
Ziera is known for comfort – the shoes you could stand in all day- and with this collection, not only is comfort on offer, but fabulous prints, styles and fabrics too.

New Spanish Designer
With a new Spanish designer on board, Ziera is really pushing the boundaries in their design with this upcoming collection.
Style and Comfort
Ziera say it’s challenging for ‘comfort’ brands to create a stylish shoe – as there is nowhere to hide the comfort. Rising to this challenge, they have managed to master this by providing the comfort while not comprising on look, as you can see from the photos. Starting at the bottom there’s the flexible rubber sole, then a polyurethane (PU) midsole with its cushioning bubbles of air. Then a 3mm layer of Poron® which gives sustained long term comfort. On top of that another 3mm of memory foam gives instant squishiness that’s soft to the touch. On top of that there’s super soft natural leather socking against the foot. So it’s layer upon layer of
comfort. For added support there’s contouring with a cookie in the arch and horse shoe in the heel to create heel cupping.
Lighter Inners
The inners of the shoes in previous ranges were seen to be too dark so they have adjusted the look of the lining to a lightened tan leather which is also soft and silky on the foot.
What’s hot
Low to high heels (which aren’t too chunky) are great for the office and the simple sandal ‘Kim’ as seen in the photo below, has a lot of layering for extra comfort yet is sophisticated enough to wear both in the office or casually.
Metallics
A hot trend is metallics which we have been seeing for a couple of seasons now, in some strong styles. The thing we love about metallics is that not being a colour, they truly do go with anything.
Danica, pictured below, draws upon the metallic trend, with a high-shine, mirrored finish in silver and gold on the inside heel, as well as a metallic triangle detail on the strap and a great mix of snake and stingray-print leathers.
Prints and pops of colour
Camo and leopard prints accompany flats and sandals. This season, rather than pastel gelato shades, we see a return to beautiful brights including aqua, fuschia, yellow, papaya, and purple, following key runway trends from fashion.

Botanical Prints
Following the fashion for botanical floral prints, Ziera’s designers have created this graphic prints in a leaf design, pictured here on this colourful sandshoe sneaker for Spring, named Pasqual.
You will be impressed by the collection as there is something for every occasion and taste. See more at the Ziera website zierashoes.com
