The wool industry is obviously such a huge part of New Zealand’s history and present with exports as well as local production, and it’s clear it has a strong future, with the beautiful garments in the group runway show ‘Choose Wool’ at NZ Fashion Week 2015. They have a website for this NZ initiative to encourage and celebrate the use of wool in home interior and fashion at www.choosewool.co.nz The show, on Tuesday 25th August, showcased looks from Liz Mitchell, French83, Wynn Hamlyn, Perriam, Sabatini, twenty-seven names, Carlson, and Hailwood.
Here are some of my favourite looks from the show. The two stand-outs for me that I was previously not very familiar with were quirky and cool menswear by French-83 and asymetric clever knitwear womenswear by Wynn Hamlyn.
