Hailwood brings the glamour

Once again, designer Adrian Hailwood brings the glamour to his show, at New Zealand Fashion Week on Wednesday 24th August 2016…

The audience gasped as the lights came up and revealed a full choir on stage in shimmery blue dresses, singing in te reo and NZ sign, for Hailwood’s glamorous show. Accompanied by a pianist, they moved into songs in English, and Italian, in the classiest performance of the week.

The AW17 collection was one of his best ever. It was like watching The Great Gatsby come to life, with sashaying beauties in suede heels in gowns that sparkled in the lights.

The colour palette included metallics for the evening wear, and navy, beige and green in the daywear, with knits and biker jackets as well as floral patterns. It was a show lighter on the denim and horse head prints of past years.

Well done Hailwood on a strong, and extremely covetable collection.
