New Zealand Fashion Week designer line up for 2015

It’s that time of year again, the run up to Fashion Christmas – oh, I mean, New Zealand Fashion Week. NZFW today announced the designer line up for 2015 which will once again take place at the ANZ Viaduct Event Centre on Auckland’s waterfront from Monday 24th August to Sunday 30th August. As per recent years, there are industry-only, invite-only shows featuring advance collections of next winter, and in-season, ticketed shows of summer for the public.

Kate Sylvester will present two shows; Autumn/Winter 2016 on Tuesday 25 August as this year’s Mercedes-Benz Presents designer, and her current Spring/Summer 2015 collection will open the public Fashion Weekend on Friday evening.

Project Runway Winner Sean Kelly

Project Runway winner Sean Kelly – who wasonce a Fashion Week intern – returns from New York to present his capsule collection at 5pm on Thursday.

First time at NZFW

Appearing for the first time on the NZFW schedule are Auckland’s Harman Grubisa, Wellingtonian Lucilla Gray, and Sydney-based designer Third Form in the New Generation show.

Trelise Cooper

Instead of showing media her Winter 16 collection as she usually does each year, Trelise Cooper will instead hold a public show and close Fashion Week with an in-season summer show on Sunday.

Miromoda

Miromoda showcase features talented Maori designers, including 2015 Supreme winner Steve Hall, who also took out first prize at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards in April of this year.

Choose Wool

New to NZFW is Choose Wool, celebrating New Zealand wool with designs by Hailwood, Liz Mitchell, Perriam, Sabatini, Tanya Carlson and Wynn Hamlynn.
