The theme of Art Deco saw the hairdressing world mingle amidst pin curls, finger waves and flapper dresses at the prestigious 2012 Industry Awards for Hairdressing, held in the Town Hall in Wellington. This formal occasion was hosted by The Hairdressing Industry Training Organisation (HITO) and Kitomba.
Being nominated as a finalist at the Awards is achieved by those at the top of the game. The Awards celebrate apprentices, trainers, training providers and employers. Education as well as business results are recognised. HITO, headed by CEO Erica Cumming, has led and set both national and international milestones in apprenticeship training, standards and qualifications across the hairdressing, barbering and beauty industry.
