Merino Show at NZ Fashion Week

Merino is one of our favourites especially if we have a southern crib or are partial to the ski chalet.
Those of us who haven’t invested in merino as wardrobe staples will certainly consider doing so now.
The Merino Show at NZFW saw five designers creatively and stylishly utilising merino wool come together in a Group Show.
Designers included Miranda Brown, Untouched World, Taylor, Life of Riley and Starfish.
Pieces we liked included Miranda Brown’s cream dress that could be worn off one shoulder, and an owl motif that appeared throughout the collection.
Starfish designer Laurie Foon embraced stripes and cute sparkly knee-highs worn with grey eco-friendly footwear.
Garments by Taylor added luxury and glamour while Teresa Brady’s Life of Riley collection was upbeat, colourful and modern.
Untouched World always has solid and reliable designs that last the seasons.
Worth a mention were the delighful bright stockings and coloured shoes which lifted and complemented the merino textures.
Some models walked fast – too fast which left us feeling breathless…and warm!
