Here are some new beauty releases to come across my path in the month of May, in the latest On My Desk: What’s New in Beauty column for May 2018…
Do you love natural skincare? You’ll want to know about this incredible local beauty oil brand Zoe and Bios. It’s a totally luxurious, clean beauty facial oil that rejuvenates your skin. You just feel your skin eating it up! Zoe & Bios currently makes one premium face oil: Deluxe Botanical Beauty Oil and will look at adding other products in the future. They are a small boutique company offering Deluxe Botanical Beauty Oil; made with care from the finest ingredients for positively luminous skin. It’s available at @zoeandbiosbeauty and zoeandbios.co.nz and they do sample size at $25 to try it out at www.zoeandbios.co.nz and find them on Instagram at zoeandbiosbeauty
Blown away by the before and after photos at Advanced Nutrition Programme’s breakfast for beauty media today. People with rosacea, acne, ageing skin and more, have seen incredible outcomes from the all-natural vitamin supplements that are now available in New Zealand at 25 beauty therapists and spas nationwide. Their new Skincare Boxes have a 28-day supply of daily capsules conveniently housed in a separate compartment in the box. You can choose between Skincare Ultimate with five supplements for healthy skin, hair, and nails and a lighter and brighter complexion; Skincare Plus with four beauty supplements for healthy hair, skin and nails; or Skincare Select with three super supplements for healthy skin. I’ll be taking my Skincare Ultimate box with daily pods containing Vitamin A+D, Omegas 3 and 6, 7 Antioxidants, Astaxanthin plus biotin, and CoQ10 plus pine bark extract, for beauty inside out.
Davines has released Circle Chronicals hair treatments; customisable hair treatments and hair masks to suit what your hair is going through right now, rather than your hair type. Each of the five masks is designed to meet a specific hair and scalp problem with a solution such as detoxing, brightening, and repairing damage. They are The Spotlight Circle for extraordinary shine; The Quick-Fix Circle for 3-minute hydrating, detangling and smoothing; The Renaissance Circle to repair damage from heated tools or swimming; The Wake-Up Circle for energy and volume for stressed hair and scalp; and The Purity Circle to detoxify pollution-damaged hair and scalp using bamboo charcoal. Available as take-home masks 50ml for $19.90 at Davines salons and 0800 239 687.
It was a flower paradise indoors for the Prada, Versace and Paco Rabanne fragrance launch at Amano today. This was absolutely the most elegant launch of the month – with Amano bakery sweet treats at a baked goods buffet, Champagne, and a selection of fine fragrances to take home with us to try. The exciting new fragrance releases include Versace Pour Femme Dylan Blue, priced from edp 30ml $108; Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky edt 50ml $119; La Femme Prada L’Eau edt 35ml $125, and Prada Candy Sugar Pop edp 80ml $162. They are available at Farmers, David Jones, Smith & Caughey’s, Life Pharmacies and NZ department stores.
Schwarzkopf LIVE spray-in, wash-out temporary hair colours give you a one-wash flirtation with colour for fun that is here for a good time, not a long time. Available now at supermarkets and pharmacies.
I received this pack in a goodybag at Australian Fashion Week in mid-May. Beauty Boosters Australia is a health and beauty supplement brand for a radiant healthy complexion, of supplements for beauty from within. This pack included Collagen-C, Complexion Perfection, and Glow Getter.
Healthy is beautiful. The Winter range of colours and skin primer and foundation by Inika Organic.
I’m about to try the cult favourite and international success story of New Zealander Michelle Doherty, Liquid Gold by Alpha H available from @tvsn. Who’s tried it? I’m also excited about the Vitamin Essential Mist, for protection from skin tissue damage from blue screen use.
Great news for those with sensitive skin- Antipodes Skincare has several products specifically designed for those with sensitive skin, which results in redness, flushing, itchiness, allergies and more. A key ingredient to soothe irritated skin in @antipodesskincare is Vinanza Oxifend, found in red grapes. It is found in New Zealand Pinot Noir red grapes, which I’m taking one of the team and pouring a @craftersunionwines glass now strictly for photo shoot purposes 🙂
